Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (IFISC)

IFISC is a joint research institute of the UIB and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) whose mission is to develop cross-disciplinary and strategic research in complex systems. In 2018, IFISC received the prestigious "Unit of Excellence" María de Maeztu Award from the Spanish Research Agency (AEI), which recognises research institutions with highly competitive strategic programmes operating at the forefront of scientific knowledge.

Complex Systems Society (CSS)

The Society aims to promote complex systems research pure and applied, assist and advise on problems of complex systems education, concern itself with the broader relations of complex systems to society, foster the interaction between complex systems scientists of different countries, establish a sense of identity amongst complexity scientists, and represent the complexity community at all international levels.
