Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (IFISC)
IFISC is a joint research institute of the UIB and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) whose mission is to develop cross-disciplinary and strategic research in complex systems. In 2018, IFISC received the prestigious "Unit of Excellence" María de Maeztu Award from the Spanish Research Agency (AEI), which recognises research institutions with highly competitive strategic programmes operating at the forefront of scientific knowledge.
